Privacy Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

Draft for legal review. This document is a starting template and not legal advice. Highlighted notes mark information that must be completed or reviewed by a qualified attorney before launch.

Dream Republic (“we”, “us”) publishes travel and lifestyle content and The Las Terrenas Guide, a paid digital publication. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

01Who we are

Dream Republic is operated by Carmen [LEGAL NAME OR BUSINESS ENTITY]. You can reach us at adreamrepublic@gmail.com.

Legal review required: Insert the legal name of the operating person or business, registered address, and jurisdiction.

02Information we collect

Free insider picks and newsletter: when you unlock the free insider picks, we collect your first name, email address, the date you signed up, and where on the site you signed up. If you also tick the optional newsletter box, we record that consent and when you gave it.

Purchases: when you buy The Las Terrenas Guide, our payment processor Stripe collects your payment details. We receive your name, email address, purchase date, amount, and payment status — never your full card number.

Access: to let you return to your purchase, we store sign-in records such as the time a secure sign-in link was requested and used.

We do not collect personal information from the signup form until you voluntarily submit it.

03How we use your information

To give you access to the free insider picks you requested.

To send the newsletter, only if you ticked the optional consent box. Unlocking the free picks alone does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

To deliver The Las Terrenas Guide, send purchase confirmations, and manage your 12-month access period.

To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the site secure — for example, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your connection’s IP address for 24 hours to limit repeated signups.

Purchase emails are transactional. Buying the guide does not subscribe you to marketing emails; that is a separate choice.

04Email confirmation and unsubscribing

You join the newsletter only by ticking the optional consent box on the signup form. We record when you gave consent and the wording you saw.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to be removed.

Legal review required: Update this section if a confirmation (double opt-in) email is added later.

05Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run Dream Republic: website hosting and database (Netlify), payment processing (Stripe), and email delivery [EMAIL PROVIDER]. Each processes data on our behalf under its own privacy and security terms.

Legal review required: Confirm the final list of service providers once the email platform is chosen.

06Cookies and browser storage

We use your browser’s storage to remember whether you have dismissed or completed the newsletter invitation, and secure cookies that remember your free insider access and your purchased guide on this device (we store only a scrambled form of these cookies). We do not use advertising cookies.

Legal review required: If analytics or advertising tools are added later, update this section and consider a cookie consent banner.

07How long we keep information

Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Legal review required: Confirm retention periods required for tax and accounting in your jurisdiction.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Email adreamrepublic@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.

Legal review required: Review obligations under GDPR (EU/UK visitors), CCPA/CPRA (California), CAN-SPAM, and Dominican Republic Law 172-13 on personal data protection.

09Children

Dream Republic is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10Changes to this policy
